WE ARE CONNECTED
Mixed Media Design & Art

This is a experimental project that visualizes a virtual space in which technology and the real-world coexists. I was inspired by the way technology interweaves through our daily lives, creating a blurred boundary between the two. I imagined information traveling to and from the technological world and the reality.

2017

This project began with an idea of choosing a space– real or imaginary– and translating into a visual representation. I began to look around to find a space in which I feel connected to, and often find myself living in it. This project spans over three series, starting from a flat concept drawing to a 3-dimensional sculptural representation of the chosen space: connector between technology and reality.

Series 1
Concept Drawing

Technology is so embedded in our lives as we constantly search for information, connect with friends, and share our stories. This concept drawing is an abstract illustration of such environment that I live in, where the digital world and reality are interconnected.

Series 2
Drawing

This is a further exploration of a virtual space where both the digital and the real world coexist. The drawing represents my daily life, through which technology interweaves in and out, creating a blurred boundary between the two worlds.

Series 3
3D Sculpture

This 3D model represents the coexistence between the world I live in and the digital world. Especially growing up in Silicon Valley, I see technology not only as means of communication, but also as a shared interconnected route of exchanging information.
